First Class Walking Guide – Looe
Postwoman: Hilary Eastley

Hilary’s walk through Looe starts at the so called “Banjo Pier”, a long harbour arm that protects the east side of the mouth of the Looe river from winter storms, before meandering along the beautiful quayside scenery.

From here a brisk walk takes viewers to the beautiful village of Polperro, featuring narrow, winding streets and alleys, with cottages perched on steep slopes overlooking a tiny harbour.

Hilary has worked for Royal Mail for over 10 years, and devotes her spare time to raising funds for local charity Ellie’s Haven. The charity is trying to raise funds to build a holiday haven for terminally ill children and their families.
