This is an application for Samsung tablets and mobile devices so unfortunatley wont be available on Smart TV's. We are working on a Smart TV app for VisitBritain TV though so check back soon for updates

I'm sure Much Wenlock and Stoke Mandeville will feature in the app, but there are literally hundreds of other fascinating places around the country which have made a contribution to the development of world sport. This app would have been a great opportunity to feature some of these often forgotten places, and enrich the visits of sports enthusiasts from around the world and lay the foundations for a whole new sports heritage tourism legacy, as I blogged recently http://sportinglandmarks.co.uk/?p=764.

As a Torch Relay sponsor, Samsung would also have benefited from closer connections between its brand and the communities the Relay will pass through.

But the great thing about apps is that the web-based content they link to can be updated and enhanced, so how about it!

So what do all the non-Samsung device owners use then (aka the majority of smartphone and tablet users - Android and iOS)? Fundamentally flawed marketing strategy for Visit Britain there.
